Discord Stuck on Connecting:- There is no doubt that it has proved to be one of the best VOIP applications for gamers. Many people use Discord because it has ever-increasing features with an amazing user interface.
The infighting is so unbelievable that despite having some suggestions, most of the time people have no problem with it. However, there are always some exceptions, because to be honest, no app is perfect.
For example, many people have problems with discords getting stuck on the connecting screen. This means that you cannot access Discord Profile either.
Similarly, there are some instances in which some people have trouble connecting to the voice channel on Discord. And this connectivity problem can be really frustrating and confusing because most of the time, it is not resolved within the app.
So, if you are facing this kind of problem while using Discord someone, then you are in the right place. Because in this article, we are going to discuss various solutions to fix the discord stuck on the connecting screen and when connecting to the voice channel problem.
Also, some people have to face these problems on Discord Mobile or iPhone. So, you will be relieved to know that most of the solutions mentioned in this article will work for Discord mobile apps as well.
Discord Stuck on Connecting to Voice Channel
If you are having connectivity problems with the voice channels on the Discord server, then you will be getting the following errors on your Discord screen:
- ICE investigation
- No route
- Stuck RTC Connection
These may sound like different errors, but they all mean the same, which is a failed voice connection. And if this is happening to you as well, then you can try the following measures:
1. Restart Everything
First of all, you can restart everything, and everything means your modem, router, computer. And if you are lucky enough, the problem will be solved by restarting.
2. Firewall Settings
We have already discussed this above, but this solution will also work for the voice connectivity problem. What you need to do is ensure that Discord connections are allowed in the firewall settings. Because if it is not, it will always come in the way of Discord Voice Connectivity.
3. Check your VPN
If you are using a VPN, then you should know that Discord only works with VPNs using UDP (User Datagram Protocol), not TCP (Transmission Control Protocol). Some VPNs have a UDP function, if so, find out how you can enable it.
4. Disconnect from Work/School Network
If you are connected to either work or school networks, this may be the reason for Discord getting stuck on the voice. This is because the disorder automatically blocks the work/school network. So it is better that you disconnect from those networks, and use your mobile data until you have access to a public or domestic network.
5. Change the Voice Area
If the problem is not resolved even after following all the above solutions, you can try changing the area of your server. And yes, this is possible only when you are the server administrator. To change the server area, you have to follow the given steps:
- First, go to that particular server and click on the ‘Downward Arrow‘ in front of the server name.
- Now you go to ‘Server Settings‘ in the drop-down menu and click.
- In the server settings, you will see the server overview just below its name. Just change the region and try to reconnect to the sound channel.
6. Disable QoS (Quality of Service)
The next thing you can try is to disable quality service on the Disorder app. This option is enabled by default when you install the Discord app, and you can disable it by following these steps:
- Open User Settings by clicking on ‘Settings/Cog Icon‘.
- Now under the app settings section on the left side of the screen, select the ‘Voice & Video‘ option.
- Now, scroll down to find the option ‘Enable service quality high packet priority and turn it off.
7. Troubleshooting with WebRTC
If you are sure that you have gone through every solution mentioned above and the problem is still not resolved, then you can go to test.webrtc.org and check if everything is ok. This troubleshooter will tell you if your webcam and microphone are working. Apart from this, with this online tool, you can also check whether your network is using UDP, TCP, or both.
Discord Stuck on Connecting Screen
This may not sound like a solution, but you don’t know how many problems can be solved by just restarting the application. If this is a one-time problem, you can probably get out of it by restarting your entire system and then relaunching the application.
2. Set Date / Time Automatically
If the restart does not work for you, you can check if the date/time is automatically set on your PC. This is because when you manually change the date/time inside your system, Discord has a lot of trouble identifying it. And this can sometimes cause Discord to get stuck on the main screen.
3. Check the firewall settings
Now, this is something really important. If Discord is not opening on your PC, then your firewall settings may not allow it to open. So, it is best that you allow Discord through the firewall.
4. Uncheck Proxy
If none of the above options work for you, you can try one last. You must ensure that you have not enabled any proxy. To do this, you have to follow the steps given below: –
Note: The steps for Windows 7, 8, and 10 are the same. So you can follow them on any platform.
- Go to ‘Network and Sharing Center‘ in Control Panel.
- Next, click ‘Internet Options‘ on the lower-left corner of the screen.
- Go to the ‘Connection‘ tab in the Internet property.
- Now, open the LAN property by clicking on the option ‘LAN Settings‘.
- Finally, uncheck the Proxy Server box if you have it enabled, and then click OK.
Note:- For Mac, if you have a proxy, you have to go to System Preferences…> Network> Advanced> Proxy to disable it.
This much only. These are possible solutions for getting stuck on Discord’s main screen or on a voice channel. And hopefully, these solutions will work well enough to solve your problem without any difficulty.
But if somehow, you are still facing the same problem, you can contact Discord Support and request them to troubleshoot your issue.
